Don and Elizabeth Roy were trained at the Institute for Biblical Counseling and Discipleship. Don has been certified by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors since 2006 and Elizabeth has been certified since 2005. They have been married for 40 years and have 10 children and 12 grandchildren.
Don served as an officer in the United States Navy for 30 years where he flew as an F-14 Radar Intercept Officer for 15 years, then served in staff and command positions for 15 years. Following his Navy career, he worked for four years at a local consulting company. He started NBCTC in 2013 and spends most of his time now counseling and teaching. He is a Fellow with ACBC and serves as a missionary with Overseas Instruction in Counseling, and serves on the Advisory Board of Fallen Soldiers March. Elizabeth has been a homemaker their entire marriage and has home schooled all 10 children.

Pamela Polit was raised in rural Pennsylvania and graduated from Bloomsburg State University in 1970 with a BS in Elementary Education. After teaching for two years, she moved to New Orleans and worked 15 years as an administrative analyst for the City of New Orleans. During that time, she attended the University of New Orleans (UNO) where she completed an MBA in 1981 and began doctoral studies. In 1986 she took a position at UNO as an Instructor in the College of Business while finishing her Ph.D. in Educational Administration in 1990 before moving to Loyola University New Orleans in 1992. She worked there until 2002 when she married Ronald Polit.
In 2009 Pam and Ron applied to become members of Wycliffe Bible Translators where they served stateside for 6 years. Pam was first a Field Coordinator for translation projects in Latin America and then transitioned to the OneStory Partnership where she worked with Bible storying for oral learners. The Polits retired from Wycliffe in 2016 but continue to attend and serve at First Baptist Church Slidell. Pam is an ACBC certified counselor.
Terrell Suggs was raised in Alabama and graduated from Mobile College in 1969 and earned an MDiv from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1973. He has been in ministry for 54 years, having pastored churches in Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Louisiana. Terrell has been married to Jan for 50 years and they have two sons and 5 grandchildren.
Terrell is a member of FBC Slidell and is an ACBC certified counselor.
Steve Spires was raised in a missionary family that served in Bangladesh (formerly, East Pakistan) until 1967. Later, his dad became an ordained minister and church planter of a local church in Slidell, LA.
Steve received his degree in Pre-Law/ Journalism from the University of Mississippi in 1982. In 1986 he enrolled in the University of New Orleans (UNO) to become certified in elementary education and met his future bride, the former Eve Berner. In August of 1986 Steve began teaching 3rd grade at a local elementary school and later went on to earn a Masters in Education Administration from UNO in 1993. He taught third grade in St. Tammany Parish for 31 years and retired in May 2019. In addition to his educational career, Steve and Eve own and operate a local private tutoring service for families on the North Shore. Steve has been married to Eve for 30 years and has five children (four sons, one daughter).
In 2017 Steve and his wife felt the call to serve local churches as biblical counselors and is an ACBC certified counselor.
